Chloe Neild, Photography Student at the British Academy of Photography BA programme.
After a 20 year lull in photography, taking images on little other than a mobile phone, I decided to invest in a mirrorless camera. It was quite a leap from the old days of film, but it instantly reignited my creative spark. Realising how much had changed, I completed a short adult learning course to develop my digital skills. However, once left to my own devices, progress was slow - which led me to take the leap and start my photography degree in 2025! I don't know exactly where this path will lead, but I am absolutely loving the process of learning, studying a creative subject later in life, and developing my own visual style.
In my younger years, I worked for both environmental and health organisations. My roles spanned campaigning, advisory services, communications, and project management across international, national, and grassroots charities. This time spent in the NGO sector gave me extensive experience in looking closely at our planet and it's people.
Ultimately, I love nothing more than getting out there, adventuring, and living life to the full. Capturing these authentic moments brings me great joy.
